I am a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University in BA Product Design. Through my time as a student I have undergone many design tasks each aiding in developing a skillset and design philosophy.
My personal design philosophy veers to the speculative end of the design spectrum. By this, I am particularly interested not only in making things look beautiful, but in challenging the current remit of product design with items that complement new forms of lifestyle rather than those that fit the commercial ideal. Influenced through the strict functionality of Marcel Breuer and the Bauhaus modernists methods but the critical thinking of Dunne and Raby, seeking to question our ideas on modern design, I strive to create meaningful concepts and images for consumers and manufacturers alike.
During my studies and subsequent positions I have pursued work in the graphic design field. Not only have I developed a professional set of skills using software such as the Adobe suite but my keen eye for details and perfection has allowed me to successfully operate under several internship roles.
